Waxwing Music: Sam Doores

My latest piece for Waxwing is about Sam Doores, my longtime friend, roommate and travel partner, on the debut of his solo album.

Sam has been a first rate collaborator in the New Orleans music scene, playing with a number of bands as a leader, as a sideman, and even forming his own record label right in his living room. We talked about collaboration in the excitement of going in his own directions. His album will debut on March 13.
